Ok, I'll go ahead and kick this off so that we can keep this as organized as possible.

Please do not post requests in this thread because they don't belong here.

bugs I've seen so far:

1. Need to turn disc control off in uLE to allow proper loading of the LAUNCHELF.CNF files.
2. Freezing upon disc access in every program I've tried so far including uLE and SMS. (As dlanor mentioned in the main thread.)
3. Freezing upon return to uLE from programs such as SMS.
4. BSOD when trying to load Codebreaker (HDL patched or not)

A "dead" memory card could be considered a bug? (=

Edit: as suggested on the main thread, I've fixed the dead MCs using Action Replay Max. ^__^

if you have access to another version ps2, it might work. It's worth a try.

I STILL can not get it to give me anything other than a black screen, with and without USB. I beginning to think i should just give up

EDIT - I should have stated that I tried on an official Sony 8MB and Datel 32MB card using version 1.1

I have the same issue. Black screen. Very disappointed. I also cant find AR Max Evo. Can someone point me to the elf for that so I can fix the damage that has been done? My official sony card is now killed and I'm very pissed. HD Project won't reflash it. It locks up at the "do not remove mc" message, right before a % starts counting. The PS2 and ULE dont detect the card anymore. Please help!!

A blackscreened MC isnt the same as a bricked one. You can simply delete the files using the ps2browser, uLaunchelf or any app able to delete from the MC. You can just attempt to flash it again with the files on it, they will get deleted in the flash process.

But a bricked MC MUST be re-formatted to use it again, and it seems this is only possible with AR Max EVO for 8MB - 32MB cards, a later version 3.35 - up is needed for 64MB cards that might be bricked.

If you can see the MC from any device able to read it, its not bricked.

AR Max wont run as an elf, it just red screens. It must be on a disc to use or ran from HDL . But running it from HDL has been reported to have random freezes. You can check sksapps.forums in the files forum for info to the app.

Like I said, my card is now dead and cant be seen by the ps2. There are no files to delete. So can you show me where to get AR Max? Everyone but me seems to have this thing and it's very frustrating. I'm nervous that I just threw $25 out the window here.

Yep, that sounds like it been bricked! AR Max EVO is your only hope if MCFormat wont format it.

Sorry, i cant post a link to it because its commercial software and against the rules to post such "warez". I did hint on where to look though.

I...don't even know what to say at this point but somehow both of my memory cards are now bricked. I never flashed my 2nd card but somehow it's bricked. Every single save is now gone. I cant believe. On top of this, my system suddenly decides that my swap magic cd is unreadable. It always worked before. So I cant put AR Max in. I cant put AR Max on the hard drive either, because I cant mount the drive over the network without saving the IP address to a working memory card, which I have none. There are strange forces at work against me today. I'm having a fucking breakdown.

Also, HDLDumb crashes the very second I feed it the AR Max image. Never seen that happen before.

Edit: Ignore everything above, as v1.2c worked perfectly for me. I should have waited 2 more days to try it. Good job guys.

Damn, now thats some really bad luck!

Shut down the ps2, go have a beer or 12 pak......smoke a bowl.....then try it again!

bugs:

- i can't poweroff the ps2 with ULE
- i can't go to ps2 browser with ULE

V7 US with DMS4 Pro SE

it might be a conflict with my chip, as i only change the boot method to Normal so that it boots on memcard..

i'll try it later without a modchip
