[Help needed] fmcb v1.7 -urgent-

I have tried more than 5x to format my mc first and then install the v1.7 but get that prob too. Tried to format using mckiller,using fmcb formater ..I think my mc

I agree that it does seem to be the MC itself that is the problem, if we only look at your results with FMCB v1.7

But the confusing thing then is that you claimed 100% success rate with FMCB v1.6, as stated in the first post of this thread.

And if it really was a physical/electronic fault with this MC then it should have worked equally bad with FMCB v1.6.

So I've reached the end of my ideas about your problem...

Oh?I wrote 100% ? Sorry bro my mistake. When writing 1st text im in stress actually v1.6 not 100% ok, i can say 80% ok coz prob like this happened too but not always like v1.7. In v1.7 i can say 5% ok..Coz very always happen. Sorry bro my mistake

Ok I tried on 2 of my Sony 8mb Black mc, and the same thing happened on both of them.

I have formatted them with Codebreaker, and Armax and still get same results.
I can boot the apps by using the assigned pad keys , and also can have disc in drive and it will auto load with ESR
But I cannot launch an app from Sony Main menu, very strange indeed.

I now just installed on another Sony 8mb Black card and it works perfectly.

I would have to say to just buy some new memory cards and try again.

I had The Same Problem With My M@X 32MB Card. And Would Format Before Install Using The Embedded Formater. Didnt Work? Used MCKiller. And Now It Works Give That A Try. I have The ELF Only File Posted Here.

Same thing happens to me, using a 8MB Official Sony (Made in Japan) card and a 64MB 3rd party card.

No way of choosing from the browser menu, it just causes a reboot. It will however auto load HDL, and holding R1 loads uLE.

It's not a massive problem for me as I very rarely use the browser, uLE is vastly (excuse the pun ;>) superior.

I have successfully installed fmcb 1.7 to official Sony card and to chinese 16MB card.
But with new chinese 64MB I have exact the same problem, booting elfs from osdsys does not work. Autobooting esr discs does not work either. FMCB just reboots.
I tried to reinstall (normal and multiversion) and format mc several times, set the shortcuts direclty to mc0:/boot/BOOT.ELF but without success.

Launching elfs with launch keys works without any problems.

I reverted back to fmcb 1.6 on this 64MB card, where launching elfs works also from osdsys.

No, it does not work reliably with 1.6 either. But seems that with launch keys it works every time.
