PS2 to PS3 converter on PC

I am new on this scene, so be patient with me
I was wondering if it is possible to use one of those converters (PS2 to PS3) to copy from PC on MC all the files that we need? I have one of those memory converters:

Installed under Vista appears as "unknown device" but I found out that the drivers for Memor32 work for this adapter too - at least seem to work. But the software to transfer the files won't work. The device can be either a "USB to serial converter" or "Serial port" - depending of the choice at the install time - I could install both variants depending on which USB port I was using. Still don't know what software can communicate serial with the MC or if it is even possible due to MagicGate...

Isn't that converter only meant for use on PS3 to copy saves to a PS2 memory card.

Did you try the savegame manager for memor32, or is that what you meant by the "software won't work"

twitch........twitch.......twitch I've clearly stated that this will NOT allow installtion of FMCB in any form on your memory card in the FAQ at the top of this subforum in the announcement. Apparently I'm writing this for my health because people still keep asking thnis.

Sorry about that. I see repeated senseless questions like that, and I have the strongest urge to rant. Makes me miss late 2004 - early 2005 when people really read and threads such as this were not as common.

Sorry, but in 2004 or 2005 you maybe have read a FAQ that says that modding a PS2 via memory card is impossible... why are we discussing this now then?

I was just trying to say that I found a driver that seems to work for that device. Didn't know it is forbidden to speak about that just because it is in an old FAQ.

A mod can delete this thread...
