thank you and i apologize...
when copying to VMC from MC what method is best:
Paste, McPaste, or PsuPaste, from my expierience PsuPaste possibly corrupts the images, but McPaste works well if done incrementaly.
ps-
could you PLEASE repost my card by chance?

Before I reply to that, remember what I said about the current VMC driver of uLE still being an early beta. I make no guarantees of data integrity when writing to a VMC.

Paste, McPaste, or PsuPaste,
|
mcPaste and psuPaste are both intended only for copying between one MC-type device and one non-MC-type device, to either backup or restore gamesaves (depending on whether the MC-type device is source or destination).
Since VMC and normal MC are both MC-type devices, you will never be offered the opportunity to use mcPaste or psuPaste for copying between these devices. Only normal Paste will be available, with the other two being greyed out.

Any corruption will be due to the beta nature of the driver, not due to the implementation of psuPaste. It is possible though, that the different operations performed by psuPaste and mcPaste may have different effects in triggering driver problems, thus explaining the tendencies you've observed.
But it is still impossible that either of those operations involved an MC at the other end, since those commands would not be available then.

The 'cut down' version you mean.
Sure, I've attached it below.

Here error codes for vmc creation:
1001: .mci file open fail. ( mci is an information file )
1002: .mci file write fail.
1003: .bin file open fail. ( bin file is the vmc file )
1004: .bin file write fail.
1005: vmc mount fail.
1006: vmc format fail.
So in your case prog is not able to open a file on your usb.
Isn't full ? Or corrupted ?
Can you browse your usb when choosing a vmc file in config ?
Best regards

Sorry there is no such message in version 1.08.
Are you sure to use this version ? ( V1.08 )
Isn't it 'SYSTEM' instead of 'IMG' ?
If so this mean your disk is not reconized.
Maybe your chip.
Try to boot HD Gui with the game already inserted.
Best regards

Why do you use old version ???
New one improve game compatibility and add some other improvements.
'IMG' file is no use as before.
Gui don't scan cdvd for 'IMG' file any more.
Anyway. You can download current version ( V1.08 ) in first post of 'Release thread'.
Best regards

Like i say in previous post, it can be a chip problem, or a disk quality problem.
Are you able to browse disk content in 'uLE' ?
If so launch 'HD Gui' from 'uLE' without touching cdvd tray, and that must work.
If that still don't work, try with 'FMCB' instead of your chip.
I really don't want to rewrite disk access functions of 'HD Gui' for the moment.
I'm busy with cdvd emulation, and V2.0 don't have any 'install from cdvd' function for now.
Thought, i'll certainly have to take a look to cdvd detection problem when i'll add this function to the prog.
Best regards

Then try a mc-boot-method, such as FMCB.
Try to start HD-GUI from FMCB then with inserted Game-Disc.
