Need help installing MyPS2 1.2

I have taken the time to read the thread about solving the Loading GUI String Table Failure problem. It has helped, but it hasn't solved my problem

I have tried installing MyPS2 1.2 to its own partition (+MYPS2) and in its own folder (MYPS2). I made the proper corrections (including the blank Line 27) to the Config file as well. Upon attempting to start, it still gives me a Loading GUI String Table Failure.

After trying to use it via MC, with the proper un-altered Config file, the program gave me the EXACT same error. How is this possible? And moreso, is there a wy to make it work right for once? Any help would be GREATLY appreciat4ed, as I want to make MyPS2 into a gift for my family

You have to read the long thread about MyPS2 here,
it ironed out alot of the mistakes I made,
I had the same problem as you, however I do not remember which message in the thread that solved it.

My advice, make yourself stupid, read the thread; do what it tells you to do.

I have Re-read the thread as instructed, following every instruction to the letter, without omission. However, Myps2 refuses to work correctly still. The config file is dead-on correct, as described before I first posted in the other thread. I don't understand why it's not working at all. My PS2 is a V7 system. Would that affect it?

Even with the line that says something about trailing slash for a path?

If you are referring to the idea of putting a forward slash (/) after every path in my config file, I have done so and it won't load at all. This isn't making any logical sense to me
