Need Help with SAMBA

Hey I'm new to this forum I was having a hard time installing MYPS2 but after 100+ tries and wife bitching to get off my ass I finally did it. Seems like i didn't put a TAB after the hdd_boot_part right before the = sign Got the USB to work also.

But anyway, Now I can't get shoutcast to work "can't resolve hostname" but i can live with that
But for the SAMBA thingy

lmhosts which is in the root dir of mc0:

Now when starting MYPS2 it says parse 1 share and i see the menu network1
when going to My Program My File etc.. when i press on it it does something for 10 secs maybe and nothing. even disable the netbios over tcp/ip

DOWNLOAD (E) is a whole disc partition should i just put only the drive letter?
or what please help me

I am having a similar problem. I know I set everything up correctly, shoutcast works fine, as does everything else. But when I try to go into my samba folder (set the share for just one folder), it freezes for up to 10 seconds and does nothing else. WS_FTP works just fine, I can transfer files with no problem, so I know the network is ok. I even went through the trouble of setting up a new workgroup 'Samba', just to make sure that wasn't the problem. If anybody can help, I would really appreciate it.

PS: The only thing I thought it could be is... While following the HDD install tut, it tells you to edit the config file to include your workgroup. In my config file there is no workgroup shown. I tried changing the workgroup in the network settings of myPS2, but no dice.

Same here, but shoutcast isn't working, only ftp when enabled.

Samba works correctly with SMS...
